Sometimes the explanations just make things worse

Mr. Calek’s insight into his own work is quite fascinating.
I am referring to his column in yesterday’s Daily entitled “Rockin’ in a free world.”
I see him being only one step short of realizing he is a very bad writer, and I would like to give him a hand to get there.
The reason that people do not see the “irony” in your writing, Mr. Calek, is that you are not able to successfully convey it to your audience.
Unlike your fianc‚e, your readers are not blinded by love.
At best, you write a column which is shallow, back-of-the-envelope crap.
People are not offended by it because they are in favor of censorship or because of political correctness or even because they just don’t get it.
They are offended because it reflects poor judgment on the part of the Daily’s editors and brings down the quality of the university’s paper.
Random pages from the phone book would make a better column. Unless the idea behind your column is to stir up cheap controversy and satisfy your sad ego.
Mr. Calek, do us all a favor: grow up and go home.
Taking Tara Deering and Corey Moss with you wouldn’t be such a bad idea either.
