The Student Activities Center Substance Abuse Peer Education Program and local businesses are collaborating this week to raise money for educational outreach programs.

They will be selling raffle tickets for $1 through Thursday in the lower level of the Memorial Union. Five winners will receive prize packages.

Prizes include: a ski package at Snowstar Winter Sports Park in Andalusia, Ill.; a new 19-inch Toshiba color television; dinner for two at Village Inn and two tickets to the Dave Matthews Band concert at Hilton Coliseum on Dec. 17; a gift certificate from Bike World for a $500 mountain bike; and a $200 gift certificate to University Bookstore, plus an Iowa State shirt, a digital Sony Walkman, a Cy beanie baby and an ISU key chain.

Drawings will be held at noon on Dec. 11 in the Maintenance Shop. Associate Dean of Students Houston Dougharty will draw the five winning raffle tickets.

Proceeds from the event will be used to support SAC Substance Abuse Peer Educators, VIBES and Students Against Drunk Driving.
