In coordination with “Alcohol Awareness Week,” there will be face-painting on Tuesday in memory of “those who die[d] in an incident related to or due to the use of alcohol and other drugs,” according to a press release.
The face painting will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the bottom floor of the Memorial Union.
Three blue tear drops will be painted on the faces of the participants by members of the Oak-Elm Programming Board, and various resident assistants and residents.
Christy Rentz, president of S.A.D.D., member of the “Alcohol Awareness Week Planning Committee” and member of the Oak-Elm Programming Board, said the event is intended to “to create awareness for people who have been affected by alcohol and substance-related issues.”
