I’m sure that Eric Evans’ misogynistic letter is sure to elicit a plethora of responses, but I’d like to add one of my own.

The ignorant Mr. Evans states that there has never been a female dominated society that has persevered. I’m not sure what he means by “persevered,” but if he means “lasted a long time” he’s dead wrong.

The Iroquois nations were governed by the women (and may still be – I’m ignorant of their present form of government).

They lasted quite a while, until forced from their lands by the superior numbers of the United States.

This form of government hardly made them weak militarily. Their neighbors either feared them or allied themselves with them.

I’ll squelch my urge to comment on this boy’s apparent golden personality.

I’ll just watch your letters section for that fun.
