Did not read parts I or II

Ms. Leonard writes a mediocre column of why not to vote for Mr. Lightfoot but fails to give voters a substantial reason to vote for Mr. Vilsack.

Rattling through Lightfoot’s laundry list, Leonard fails to mention that while Lightfoot has a few faults in comparison to Vilsack, this might be attributable to Vilsack’s virtually untested leadership in comparison to Lightfoot’s long and distinguished career.

Vilsack’s experience has been limited to jockeying the state legislature for a few more cents from the coffers.

He hardly has the ability to captain an entire state’s government.

Lightfoot did a fine job as a representative of this state in the past and is no doubt quite capable of leading it after this election day.

Iowans can only hope he can do as good a job as Terry Branstad has done.

I do not expect an undergrad in journalism to actually be supportive of Republicans, but I would hope the Daily could at least make an attempt at being neutral.
