International kudos

Gregorios Siourounis & Marc Ruehlaender

The executive board of the International Student Council and the International Senators of the the Government of the Student Body would like to express their appreciation for the attention that the Daily’s writers have given to international issues.

Some of the most recent articles include “Financial crisis still hitting students where it hurts” by Archana Chandrupatla (Sept. 21), “Teaching English to ‘life-long friends'” by William Crawford (Sept. 17) and “International students voice mixed opinions about Clinton” by Andy Tofilon (Sept. 17).

We look forward to more coverage as international students prepare to celebrate International Week 1997 during Oct. 23-30. We welcome ISU students interested in helping to join one of the following committees:

International Dance, Cultural Displays, Design and Publicity, Fundraising, Lectures, Global Foodfest, Grand Finale or Ports of Call.

These committees meet every Sunday, from 2-3 p.m. in the Pine Room of Memorial Union. For more information, contact Choong-Hoong Liew at 292-8817 ([email protected]) or Greg Siourounis at 572-4664 ([email protected]).
