Jerrett is right

Kevin Schultz

I just read Greg Jerrett’s “Rape prevention is everyone’s job,” and I’d just like to say that he is absolutely right.

Now, I look at myself as an average guy, and after reading his column (and the Daily this week), I see that there is a need for this kind of communication on campus.

One point that I’d really like to make is that women don’t realize what kind of real power they have.

A woman can choose to not sleep with a guy if she doesn’t want to. If she says no, she really means it. Now guys, if she says no before she’s drunk and yes after she’s drunk you’ve got to check your values a little.

If she says no once, that’s it, the show’s over.

I think that Greg said it best when he said “exercise some control.” And I think that I’ll just leave it at that.
