September 9
- Parking personnel recovered an expired general staff parking permit that was being used in Parking Lot 100.
- Parking personnel recovered an illegally held parking permit in Parking Lot 56.
- During a routine traffic stop, Tanja Dee Evans, 25, was found to have an arrest warrant from Emmetsburg charging her with failure to appear. She was held for Emmetsburg officials.
- A Honda car was towed from the area of South 16th Street and Elwood Drive as a traffic hazard.
- Bryan Fischer, 530 Welch Ave., reported the theft of his bicycle seat from the bicycle rack near Carver Hall. Loss estimated at $30.
September 10
- During a routine traffic stop for speeding, Sarah Jayne Tallackson, 20, of 1535 Little Bluestem Court, was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. She was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
- During a routine traffic stop, Matthew Linus Deutmeyr, 21, of 525 6th St., was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
- Samantha Kitover, 2227 Knapp Hall, reported the theft of her bicycle.
- A vehicle driven by Noel Jacobusse, 4313 Larch Hall, and another vehicle driven by Dennis Frerichs of Urbandale, collided on the drive at Veenker Memorial Golf Course. Damage to the Jacobusse vehicle was $1,500 and to the Frerichs vehicle was $4,000.
- Chemical engineering staff reported the theft of a Gateway 2000 CPU from Room 1133, Sweeney Hall. Loss estimated at $2,200.
- Rodney Kalsow, Wilson Hall, reported the theft of his bicycle from the area near Wilson Hall.
- During a routine traffic stop, Tanner Gregory Carlson, 21, of Gowrie, was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
September 11
- Aaron Roberson, 6-B Schilletter Village, reported the theft of his 12-speed bicycle. Loss estimated at $150.
- Motor vehicle accident, Veterinary Medicine Drive. (Case reports not complete.)
- Denise Schultz, 182 Linden Hall, reported the theft of his parking permit from Parking Lot 63. Loss estimated at $35.
- Brian Swanson, 4334 Larch Hall, reported the theft of his parking permit from Parking Lot 63. Loss estimated at $35.
- Emilie Wall, 105 Mulberry Court, and a friend were riding bicycles near the Design Building when they collided with a fence. Wall was transported to the Mary Greeley Medical Center.
- During a routine traffic stop, Richard W. Kirkpatrick was found to have an unserved suspension. Kirkpatrick was served with a suspension notice.
- During a routine traffic stop, Paddy Philemon Theo, 39, was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Theo was arrested and charged with a second offense of operating while intoxicated.
September 12
- During a routine traffic stop, Ross Frank Ralston, 46, of 126 Beedle Drive, was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
- Brian Leslie Kelly, 23, of Minneapolis, Minn., was observed in the area of Lincoln Way and Hyland Avenue in an intoxicated state. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
- Kendric Lee Chaney, 26, of Des Moines, was observed in the 100 block of Hayward Avenue in an intoxicated state. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
- A 20-year-old was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage and was cited for a .02 civil violation.
- Justin Lee McCaslen, 20, of 218 Lincoln Way, was arrested for public intoxication.
- A vehicle driven by Lei Sun, 125-C University Village, was turning from 24th Street into Schilletter Village and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Daniel Myers of Lehigh. Damage to the Sun vehicle was $100 and to the Myers vehicle was $500.

- Department of Public Safety assisted Ames Police on a call about a party on North Dakota. Brenda Lynn Bauer, 20, of 125 Campus Ave., was found in possession of alcohol.
- Adam J. Sieren, 18, of Carlisle, was cited for being underage in possession of alcohol.
- Jesse Sankey, 20, and Thomas Locke Deimerly, 20, were cited for being underage in possession of alcohol.
September 13
- A 20-year-old was administratively charged with an implied consent civil violation when observed in a car in Parking Lot 50.
- Edward Alexander Firotto, 30, of Moorpark, Calif., was observed in the area of Wallace Road and Lincoln Way in an intoxicated state. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
- During a routine traffic stop, John J. Roosa, 29, of Fonda, was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
- During a routine traffic stop, a 20-year-old was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage and was also found to be under the legal age.
- Randal Morfitt, 7170 Buchanan Hall, reported being assaulted in Parking Lot 62.
- During a routine traffic stop, Matthew T. Muller, 24, of 617 Clark Ave., was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and charged with third offense operating while intoxicated. He also was charged with driving while barred, driving while revoked and providing false information to law enforcement.
- Department of Public Safety received a report of three people spray-painting a parking sign. The three were located and found to be intoxicated. Dale Shawn McCourt, 24, Jamie P. McCourt, 20, both of Webster Spring, W.Va., and Christopher Phillip Danley, 22, of Wheeling, W.Va., were charged.
- A vehicle was vandalized in one of the ISU Center parking lots. (Case reports not complete.)
- A number of vehicles were vandalized in the S lots near the stadium. (Case reports not complete.)
- David Agar, of 201 Date Court, reported that while driving his motorcycle on Osborn Drive, the east gate arm swung up. As he continued driving, the gate arm came down, striking his head.
