ISU Diving

Davenport West diving coach Jeff Warrick, a Big Ten finalist when he competed for Indiana, has been named diving coach at Iowa State.

Warrick, an NCAA qualifier and 1994 U.S. Senior National diving finalist as a Hoosier, was an academic All-American at Indiana, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1994.

He had coached the Davenport West High School girls’ diving team since 1995.

Warrick was also an assistant coach for the Davenport West boys’ swim team from 1994-96.

Warrick is a Davenport native and won the 1989 Iowa prep one-meter diving title as a Falcon.

“Jeff received extraordinary references from his coaches at Indiana,” ISU men’s swim coach Trip Hedrick said. “We’re excited about his potential contribution to our men’s and women’s coaching staffs.”

Warrick was a three-time Big Ten Scholar-Athlete award winner at Indiana.

“I’ve always wanted to coach at the collegiate level,” Warrick said. “Having grown up in Iowa, I’m glad to get the opportunity to coach at the Division I level in my home state.”
