I’m tired of the smear campaign against Jim Ross Lightfoot which is trying to persuade Iowans that he is against education and computers in the classroom, in particular.

Lightfoot has never criticized the introduction and use of computers into the classroom.

He understands very well that an education which prepares our children for the 21st Century must include training in modern technology.

However, Lightfoot is stressing that our educrats have lost sight of the fact that our students must become competent, as early as possible, in the fundamentals of reading, writing, mathematics and the sciences.

These are the building blocks for all knowledge. Once again, Jim Ross Lightfoot shows common sense.
