Iowa State Daily dated Thursday, July 2, reports on the Pakistani Nuclear Scientist’s defection (last page). However, the huge title of the report says “Nuclear Program Workers flee INDIA in fear.” I am surprised at such a level of callousness displayed.

This distorts the facts and damages the reputation of the country in the eyes of the diverse community at Iowa State University.

I am sure the Indian Community at ISU have always looked to the Iowa State Daily as a dependable source of information.

International and local readers expect the Iowa State Daily team to verify reports before they distribute them to the people of Ames.

I hope that the Iowa State Daily recognizes this as a grave error on their part and takes corrective steps to report the error and avoid such ignorant mistakes in the future.
