Kevin Nealon (Bill Clinton) will be performing (stripping) in Ames Friday night at Dew the Rec (an Ames strip bar).

The Subliminal Message Man Nealon, who also served as the “Weekend Update Anchorman” and played such memorable characters as “Mr. No Depth Perception,” “Larry King,” “Sam Donaldson” and “Ganon P.I. P.I.,” holds the record as the longest-running cast member on “Saturday Night Live.”

Nealon, a Bridgeport, Conn., native, graduated from Sacred Heart University and pursued careers as a car leaser, mover and a department store Santa Claus before stumbling upon comedy in 1978.

As a bartender at the Improv in Hollywood, Nealon convinced the owners to give him stage time, and he instantly became a local favorite, according to his agency, Funny Business.

Since then, Nealon was not only heavily recruited as a writer and actor for “Saturday Night Live,” he has also been featured in such films as “All I Want For Christmas” with Lauren Bacall, “Roxanne” with Steve Martin and “Happy Gilmore” with Adam Sandler.

He also currently stars with Richard Lewis in the ABC sitcom “Hiller and Diller,” about two TV comedy writers.

Nealon will be performing his stand-up routine Friday at 11 p.m. at Dew the Rec.

Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 at the door and are available to Iowa State students, faculty and staff, alumni and Ames residents.

An advanced $5 ticket package for Dew the Rec and Rock Veishea is also available.
