Act responsibly or leave town
April 14, 1998
“If they’re going to take Veishea away, I say let them do it.” This is a quote from Joshua Cook in his letter to the Daily on March 25.
Mr. Cook, it is people like you that cause Veishea to slip away from us a little more each year.
Maybe to you, Veishea is synonymous with sex, alcohol and partying, but to many others it means something different. To many other students, Veishea means hard work and great satisfaction in success. To people outside of the Iowa State community, it means a celebration. For alumni of all ages, it means reuniting with old friends and sharing memories of Veisheas past.
Are you willing to take all of that away for a little irresponsible sex and partying?
Go out this weekend and have a good time. Just be responsible.
Mr. Cook, have you ever heard the saying about one bad apple? Maybe you should leave town this weekend.
