‘The Power of Race Unity’ to be shown Sunday

The video “The Power of Race Unity” will be shown on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the meeting room at 100 University Village.

According to a press release, the 28-minute video is being shown in part to “serve as a catalyst for intimate discussions of race unity throughout the Iowa State and Ames communities.”

The video illustrates the diversity of the Baha’i community, profiling several members.

According to a press release, the video shows their “struggle and describes decades of work in race unity and the elimination of prejudice of all kinds.”

Timothy Radloff, member of the ISU Baha’i Student Association and the Ames Baha’i Race Unity Task Force, said in a press release that he hopes the video was encourage intellectual discussions about race relations issues.

“The Baha’i experience is really like a laboratory,” Radloff said. “We hope this video will encourage hundreds of families, churches and community leaders to begin a serious dialogue on race unity.”

The viewing is free and open to the public.
