In response to Staci Hupp’s article, published April 27, the obvious question that appears to be unanswered is whether or not this young man was wearing a helmet. This neglects to mention the fact that responsible driving, either by motorcycle riders or those driving cars, can often help prevent fatalities in such accidents.

Perhaps in people’s grief, they’ve neglected to realize how many such tragedies could have been averted.
