Homosexual coverage
April 20, 1998
After reading the online edition of the Daily, I do not understand why you insist on constantly writing about the struggles that non-heterosexual students face. During my time at Iowa State, neither I or anyone else I knew ever felt a need to come out and tell the world that we were not gay. Why do gay people, in particular Iowa State students, constantly feel the need to announce to the world the details of their sexual orientation? Nothing against them, but just once it would be nice to look at the Daily and not have a story about the perils of being gay at Iowa State.
