Faculty and staff inducted into 25-Year Club — A banquet sponsored by the Iowa State University 25-Year Club will be held tonight at 6:15 in the Scheman Building.

A social will start off the evening, and dinner will follow at 7 p.m. There will be a brief business meeting and a program featuring Victoria Van Voorhis and Karen Linnan as the “Women in Rhinestones.”

The 25-Year Club will induct 81 new members for 25 years of service as of December 31, 1997.

ISU President Martin Jischke will present the certificates on behalf of the university.


Traveling Fellowship program competitions — The Skidmore, Owings and Merrill Foundation is offering fellowships for post-graduate travel and study in the fields of architecture, interior architecture, urban design and engineering.

Schools will be nominating graduating students to compete for five traveling fellowships that amount to $52,500. The winners of the engineering traveling fellowships totaling $15,000 were announced this month.
