I’d like to talk a little about Dance-A-Thon, which is a wonderful charity. On March 29, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., there will be a charity dance that will raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network, which helps children with cancer. The idea is for each participant to raise $75 and attend this dance for the straight 10 hours. There will be games, food, drinks, live performances (The Nadas, for one), and the children for whom the CMN helps will be there. I’d like to thank Kim Ueltschy and Cori Smith, the morale directors, for all the time and effort they are putting in; the Dance Marathon Committee executives; the University of Iowa for donating $2000 for our cause; the Greek System for rising to the occasion at such short notice; Bob Weise for donating $1000 to this effort; and our own school, particularly the GSB, for reluctantly donating $800.
