Multicultural Task Force to hold public forum — The Multicultural Task Force welcomes the public to attend an open mic forum on Wednesday at noon in the South Ballroom of the Memorial Union.

Research from other campus centers, previous studies, and responses from individuals and organizations about the prospect of having an Iowa State multicultural center has been summarized and will be presented. In addition, audience members will have the opportunity to respond.

Survivors of Suicide organizational meeting — Today is the last day to join the Youth and Shelter Services’ Survivors of Suicide group.

With the help of YSS counselors, group members will follow a series of self-help meetings to ease the pain for family members and friends of those who have taken their own lives.

The group will meet on Monday evenings through April 20, and then once a month on an ongoing basis. Members of the Ames community, including Iowa State students and staff, are invited to attend.

Individuals who are interested may sign up from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Jacobson Youth and Family Center, 420 Kellogg Ave. The program is free.


ASWA scholarship — The Ames chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants is offering its sixth-annual scholarship of approximately $200 to accounting students. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a full- or part-time class schedule.

ISU alumnus to speak at luncheon — The Iowa chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International is sponsoring a meeting this Saturday, featuring ISU alumnus Roger Ingledue, a past member of the group and active member of the Ames community.

The event will be held in the Gold Room of the Memorial Union. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a soup, sandwich and salad buffet for $8.25 per person, and the meeting will follow at 7:30 p.m.
