Rohypnol at ISU

Kip B. Cox

This is in response to Marty Forth’s article in the Friday, Feb. 27 issue of the Daily. I was just wondering if he realized that with what was mentioned in the third to last paragraph, he shifted the blame of any use of Rohypnol at Iowa State on the fraternities. I am very pissed off about this. There is absolutely no proof to confirm this allegation. I do not doubt that there are some people at this school that would use this drug to impair their victims and then take advantage of them, but I don’t believe that every single person that would stoop to this level belongs to a fraternity. I don’t think I would have given a damn if you would have stated that a little differently, as in to say that there are rumors of the use of “Roofies” at Iowa State, but to shift the blame solely to the fraternities is entirely in bad taste in my mind. If you wanted to rip on fraternities, there are better and more tasteful ways to do it. Think before you write next time, allright?
