The Ames Parks and Recreation Department is offering an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course at Municipal Indoor Pool on Wednesdays, Feb. 18 and 25 and March 4, 11 and 25 from 6 to 10 p.m.

Classes also will be held Sundays, Feb. 22, March 1 and 22, from 5 to 9 p.m.

The course provides information necessary to teach infant and preschool classes, the Learn-to-Swim program and Community Water Safety classes.

A $50 fee plus books is required by Feb. 12. For further details, call 239-5350.
