Vote today for $12.7 million bond issue

Daily Staff Writer

All ISU students and other citizens registered in Story County are eligible to vote on today’s $12.7 million bond issue, which will determine whether the county can use tax money to fund a new justice center.

The center, to be built in Nevada, would have a 96-bed jail, judges’ and sheriffs’ offices and more courtrooms than the existing courthouse, according to the Story County Auditor’s Office.

The bond issue must be approved by 60 percent of the voters.
