Chemistry dept. hosts speeches

Two speeches will be presented by ISU science professors this week.

On Thursday, Professor Therese Cotton of the chemistry department will present “Structure and Reactivity of Molecules at Metal Interfaces” at 8 p.m. in Room 1352 Gilman Hall.

Amy Andreotti, professor of biophysics and biochemistry, will give a speech titled “Protein structural studies reveal an intramolecular regulatory mechanism” on Friday at 4:10 p.m. at the same location.

Both speeches are sponsored by the chemistry department.


Conservation board meeting

The Story County Conservation Board welcomes the public to attend its monthly board meeting on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Story County Conservation Center at McFarland Park, 56461 180th St. For further details, call 232-2516.


‘The Four Loves’ meeting to be held

The Ames chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International will hold a Valentine’s Day meeting, titled “The Four Loves” on Feb. 14.

Preceding the meeting will be a soup, sandwich and salad buffet beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The meal costs $8.25 per person, and the meetings are open to everyone.
