A new publication is putting Iowa State and Ames at the fingertips of meeting planners across the nation.

ISU and Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau have teamed up to produce a meeting planner’s guide designed to assist meeting planners with everything from hotel rooms to name tags, according to a press release.

The guide highlights community and university meeting facilities, lodging, dining and entertainment options.

It also features maps of ISU and Ames and a checklist of items to consider when planning a large meeting or conference event, according to the release.

“Meeting planners are faced with the challenge of organizing a myriad of details,” stated Liz Kenner-Kurt, ISU director of conference services, in the press release. “Our goal in producing this guide was to make that effort as quick and thorough as possible.”

According to the press release, guides of this type are not uncommon.

The guide is available through the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau.
