The Iowa State women’s basketball team improved its perfect conference record to 3-0 with a 76-67 road win over the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder.

ISU trailed the Buffaloes by two at the intermission, but outscored Colorado down the stretch, despite turning the ball over 25 times.

The Cyclones were led by a quartet of double-figure scorers. Janel Grimm continued her torrid scoring pace by tossing in 20 points, while Stacy Frese tallied 19.

Jayme Olson scored 18 points and also grabbed 12 rebounds, sharing high honors on the glass with Grimm.Freshman Erica Haugen hit for 11 points in a reserve role.

The Cyclones shot 49 percent from the floor and held the Buffaloes to 42 percent shooting. In addition, ISU won the battle at the charity stripe, canning 19 free throws, while Colorado managed to sink five.

ISU now is 14-2 overall.
