Iowa State Center Parking

Patrons attending events at the Iowa State Center on Friday are advised to arrive early. Since there are events occurring in each of the four buildings, traffic will be heavy and parking will be at a premium.

Patrons arriving for events in the Scheman Building or attending the performances of The Nylons in Stephens Auditorium or “School House Rock” in Fisher Theater should enter from Beach Avenue on the west side of Stephens Auditorium.

Patrons attending the men’s basketball game in Hilton Coliseum should use Elwood Drive on the east side of Hilton Coliseum.

Mid-Week Noels

A series of Mid-Week Noels will begin today at 12:10 p.m. at Collegiate Presbyterian Church at the corner of Sheldon Avenue and West Street.

The annual musical program is free and open to the public and will be followed by a $4 soup and salad luncheon. Complimentary coffee and tea will be served to those who wish to bring their own lunch.

Each Thursday of Advent, a 30-minute Christmas program will be performed. Today’s program is entitled “Poetry and Songs of Christmas.”

On Dec. 11, the Arcadia Wind Quintet will perform and on Dec. 18, the Collegiate Presbyterian Church Adult Choir will perform “December Stillness.”
