Kim Smith, professor of journalism and mass communication at Iowa State, went above and beyond the call of duty on Dec. 9. Kim Smith heard that my car battery had died and he offered to help me fix it. He drove me to Sears to buy a new battery, and once retrieving the proper tools, he stood in the cold wind while it was snowing and changed the battery himself. The job took about an hour-and-a-half, and let me tell you, it was no easy task.

I would like to acknowledge what Kim did for me and thank him for helping me out, because I did not know what I was going to do. Thank you so much, Kim.
