After reading the Daily for the last week, my eyes have been opened to the unfortunate truths about the University of Nebraska’s athletic program. As further evidence of the sad state of affairs in Big Red country, consider this: Across all teams and all sports, University of Nebraska athletes have earned more NCAA Top Eight Awards and GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-American honors than any other NCAA Division I institution.
