A jealous fan
November 19, 1997
I really enjoyed reading Chad Calek’s sports editorial in the Nov. 11 issue of the Daily. It’s nice to see that sarcasm and humor still exist among the Daily staff writers.
After all, who could make such ridiculous, unfounded conclusions with no logical backing and actually be serious? I hope for Mr. Calek’s sake that his article was just little joke, and he really isn’t as ignorant as he sounds.
I realize the sports editorial is a place for opinion, but maybe the Daily should consider printing opinions based on facts, rather than delusions and rantings of a jealous fan.
Perhaps you could print information that students might actually care about, such as the AP Top 25 football poll. After all, the Daily is supposed to be a NEWSpaper.
