Volleyball

Iowa State picked up its first conference victory of the season against the Baylor Bears Saturday night in Waco, Texas. The Cyclones won in four sets — 19-17, 11-15, 15-12 and 15-8. The win snapped ISU’s 17-match losing streak.

Friday night, the Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated the Cyclones in four games 15-5, 15-3, 10-15 and 15-7.

After the weekend, ISU’s record stands at 10-19 overall and 1-15 in the Big 12.


Men’s Swimming

The Cyclone swimmers posted another meet victory to keep their dual meet record a spotless 2-0.

The men went head-to-head with Southwest Missouri State and won 127-89 Saturday.


Wrestling

Iowa State started its season Sunday afternoon, hosting the Harold Nichols Open in Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones went into the tournament ranked ninth in the preseason poll.
