The following information was provided by the Ames Police Department. All individuals are innocent until proven guilty.

  • Jesse Ira Hilton, 24, 406 B, Westgate Hall, was arrested for disorderly conduct, Nov. 1. He was later released on a judge’s order.
  • Marlyn J. Meyers, 25, 2711 Ashby, Des Moines, was arrested for disorderly conduct, Nov. 1. He was later released on a $165 cash bond.
  • Nathan T. Hellman, 19, 519 Dancer Hall, Cedar Falls, was arrested for public intoxication, Nov. 1. He was later released on a judge’s order.
  • Jessica K. Bluml, 18, 105 Lyon Hall, was arrested for public intoxication, Nov. 1. She was later released on a judge’s order.
  • Edith M. Wishman, 19, 127 Lyon Hall, was arrested for public intoxication, Nov. 1. She was later released on a judge’s order.
  • Jon L. Pierce, 44, 302 River, Cambridge, was arrested for public intoxication, Nov. 1. He was later released on a citation.
  • Ephraim Isaiah Alexander, 25, 1300 Coconino Rd. #123, was cited for a noise violation, Nov. 1.
  • Bradley Michael Smith, 22, 1300 Coconino Rd. #152, was cited for consuming alcohol in public, Nov. 1.
  • Mark John Ballard, 25, 1740 Marcella Heights Dr., Carroll, Iowa, was cited for consuming alcohol in public, Nov. 1.
  • Ryan Daniel Sexton, 22, 1300 Coconino Rd. #152, was cited for consuming alcohol in public, Nov. 1.
  • David Zawadzki, 20, 2906 Lincoln Way, was cited for minor on the premise, Nov. 1.
  • Tamara L. Mikesell, 21, 1009 Division St., Boone, was cited for theft in the fifth degree, Nov. 1.
  • Nicholas B. Caggiano, 23, 608 Wellington #A3, Waterloo, was arrested for public intoxication and criminal mischief, Nov. 2. He was later released after posting $330 bond.
  • Shana Kristine Spence, 19, 415 Tama St., Boone, was cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age, Nov. 2.

October 28

  • Property damage accident at 61B Schilletter Village.
  • DPS received a report of a person having some emotional problems in Helser Hall and was asked to do a welfare check on the subject. An officer was dispatched and after talking with the student, Student Services was contacted.
  • A vehicle registered to Roxanne M. Fish, 715 Main St., McCallsburg, Iowa, was properly parked in Lot 3 when an unknown vehicle struck it. The other vehicle left the scene without leaving any information. Estimated damage is $650.
  • A vehicle registered to Bryce A. Dee, 201 Gray Ave., was properly parked in Lot 57 when an unknown vehicle struck it and then left the scene without leaving any information. Estimated damage is $500.

October 29

  • A vehicle registered to Steven Weohr, RR#1, Queen City, Mo., was properly parked in Lot 63, when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. The other vehicle left the scene without leaving any information. Estimated damage is $300.
  • DPS received a report that when a worker went to open the Buchanan Post Office in the morning, they found that there was a difference of $6 between the closing amount the night before and the opening amount that morning.
  • A vehicle driven by Tone Lund, 1802 Douglas, was westbound on Pammel Dr., attempting to make a right turn into Lot 27. A second vehicle, driven by Renee Heather Funk, 3319 Story St. #102, was eastbound on Pammel Dr., attempting to make a left turn into Lot 27. Funk turned in front of Lund, striking Lund’s vehicle. Funk said that because of a vehicle waiting to turn into a parking lot south of Lot 27, she was unable to see Lund’s vehicle. Funk was cited for failure to yield.
  • A student in Buchanan Hall reported that she has been harassed by another resident of Buchanan Hall.

October 30

  • An officer observed a vehicle belonging to Heath Heyden, 5139 Storms Hall, roll out of its parking stall into a vehicle belonging to Nicholas Brink, 7336 Wallace Hall.
  • A staff member at State Gym reported that a poster was taken from a display case in the State Gym. Estimated loss is $5.
  • A student reported that while she was waiting to park in Lot 65, a vehicle pulled out of a parking stall and she pulled into it. She said the driver of a vehicle that was parked in the fire lane came over to her and started yelling at her.
  • Eunjung Lee, 4112 Westbrook Dr. #25, reported that she had either lost her purse or had it stolen somewhere on campus. Estimated loss is $84.

October 31

  • A vehicle registered to Frank Kisley, 312 Hillcrest #9, was properly parked in Lot 100 when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. Estimated damage to the vehicle is $500.
  • Abbie Place, 6306 Larch Hall, reported that someone entered her room while she was sleeping and took some of her books. Estimated loss is $250. Holly Ziska, 6325 Larch Hall, reported that she had left her book in the den for about 10 minutes. When she returned, her book was gone. Estimated loss is $60.
  • Theft of magnetic signs off of the side of a van in the Memorial Union Ramp.
  • Theft from 3370 Larch Hall.
  • Vandalism to a motor vehicle in Lot 61.
  • Theft from a building in Carver Hall.
