Ridiculous letter

Erin Riley

This is in response to a letter submitted to the editor that was published in the Nov. 13 edition of the Daily. The letter entitled “Red Clad Bandwagon” had a couple of elements that I would like to comment on.

First, I agree with several points in the letter. There are too many people that have simply jumped on the so-called “bandwagon” as far as the Nebraska Cornhuskers are concerned.

And I personally find it very disturbing that men who beat, steal and attempt rape are idolized for being able to play football.

However, I personally thought that this was a ridiculous letter. It seemed to be on the same maturity level as the football fans he wished to criticize. And by the way, Robert Welch, the capital of Nebraska is Lincoln, not Omaha. (I thought we were all required to learn our capitals in fourth grade.)

Also, the University of Nebraska is also located in Lincoln, So next time you want to be a smart-ass and rip somebody, try not to make a total fool out of yourself, OK?
