The Rev. Arthur Lawrence Cribbs Jr. will be the featured speaker at tonight’s The September 29th Movement’s general assembly meeting.

Cribbs is the executive director of the Office of Committee of the 1.5 million members of the United Church of Christ.

The general assembly meeting will be held in the Gold Room of the Memorial Union at 7 tonight. All students are welcome to attend.


Student Aid meeting

There will be a meeting of the Iowa College Student Aid Commission today at 2 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Iowa College Student Aid Commission in Des Moines.


Parks and Recreation

The City of Ames Department of Parks and Recreation will be hosting a public meeting today at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers to gain input on whether to reconstruct or remove the four existing tennis courts at Brookside Park.

The Ames School District and the City of Ames are considering constructing eight new tennis courts at Ames High School during the summer of 1998.

Prior to the Ames City Council making a decision regarding this issue, residents are invited to attend this public meeting and voice opinions.
