Not the wrong lifestyle

Mark H. Williams

The logic of Ev Cherrington’s letter of Nov. 12 escapes me. If it is just a wrong lifestyle that causes the suicide rate to be higher in the gay community, then everyone except white males are living the wrong “lifestyle.”

The main reason for the higher suicide rate can be attributed to the lack of support and positive images from society. It is not the individual gay person that has the problem, but society’s attitude toward that person.
