VOLLEYBALL
The Iowa State volleyball team lost their 10th straight conference match to the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Cyclones snagged the first game 15-13 but fell in the next three to return home winless in the Big 12 conference.
Junior Colleen Henican, now an all-Big 12 candidate, hammered 24 kills in the match making it the third consecutive game in which she has amassed the 24 mark in hits. She also recorded a match-high of 18 digs. Virgnia Hoss, also a junior, dished out nine kills and four blocks for the Cyclone team.
HOCKEY
Cyclone puck chasers slammed the puck into the net 24 times over the weekend to defeat Ferris State 12-0 and 12-2 in the weekend series. ISU hockey’s record is now 10-0. See Tuesday’s Daily for match details.
SOCCER
The women’s soccer team came home from Oklahoma with a win Friday night. They came from behind to beat the Sooners 4-2 at Oklahoma’s Parkhead Field. The Cyclones were defeated by Oklahoma State on Sunday but still qualified for tournament play due to other weekend results.
