One-sided views
October 23, 1997
In response to the editorial about Christianity by Carmen Cerra, I have a few conflicting thoughts about the comments he made.
Leaving my own views aside, I thought it was an intellectual blunder to say, “It’s unfortunate some of those who read the Bible have to use it to suit their own needs and opinions.”
Yet, Carmen expresses his own opinion of Christians based on his personal views of the Bible and personal experiences.
Please, before you criticize Christianity, don’t base your opinion on a friend or your one-sided view of Christianity.
One can read and interpret the Bible as he or she wishes. One can also choose how he or she wishes to repent or if there is a need to do so. Let us not be hypocrites and let everyone have their free agencies.
