Representatives from top local and national companies will be on hand to discuss opportunities in industries at Tuesday’s Greater Des Moines Career Fair.

The Career Fair will be held on Tuesday, September 23, at the University Park Holiday Inn, 1800 50th Street in Des Moines, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

During the Career Fair, professional representatives will discuss opportunities in industries such as data processing, finance, government, insurance, retail, restaurants and telecommunications.

Participants may also attend professional seminars on a variety of career-related topics.

The fair is sponsored by CFG, Inc., which holds career fairs all over the United States, and is co-sponsored by WHO Radio and The Des Moines Register.

Don Novicoff, national media director for CFG, Inc., said this is the third professional career fair his organization has held in Des Moines this year, and they will also bring two technical career fairs to Iowa’s capital in 1997.

Novicoff said CFG has been hosting career fairs for almost 12 years.

Candidates can research companies attending the fair, as well as fairs across the nation, by browsing CFG, Inc.’s website at www.cfg-inc.com.

Those who are interested but are unable to attend the fair can fax their resumes to CFG Inc. at (402) 697-9616.

These faxed-in resumes will be distributed to all companies at Tuesday’s fair.

The event is free to the public and offers experienced and entry-level positions for professionals and college graduates.

Full and part-time jobs will be available.

All ISU students are encouraged to attend the fair.
