Harmonica wizard John Popper will lead his band, Blues Traveler, to Ames on Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

The band returns to Ames after playing the venue two years ago.

Blues Traveler is touring in support of its new release, “Straight On Till Morning,” released last July. The band spent a portion of the summer playing selected dates on the HORDE Tour.

Tickets to the show go on sale Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m.

Tickets are $25 and are available at the Iowa State Center Ticket office and all TicketMaster outlets.

Customers can also charge tickets by phone by calling 233-1888. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com.

An opening act has not been announced.
