Sugar Ray, Matthew Sweet, Smash Mouth and The Refreshments are among the headliners scheduled for this year’s Edgefest concert in Omaha.
This year the festival’s location has been changed from the Aksarben racetrack to the new Westfair Amphitheater just outside Council Bluffs.
In its third year, the festival will also feature The Nixons, Artificial Joy Club, Soak, Radio Iodine, Naked, Sister Machine Gun, Outhouse, Puzzlegut and the winner of the Edge’s Battle of the Bands Grasshopper Takeover.
Gates will open at 10:30 a.m. with Grasshopper Takeover set to take stage at 11:15 a.m. The Nixons will close the day at 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are available in advance for $12.50 by calling TicketCentral at (800) 771-3666. If tickets remain the day of the show, they will be available at the door for $18.50.
The Westfair Amphitheater is located two miles east of I – 80, just west of the Council Bluffs exit.
Sadly, Local H will not appear at this year’s festival.
However, 311 will be playing at the Westfair Amphitheater on Sept. 21. Tickets for that show are also available through TicketCentral.
