Open letter to President Martin Jischke and the Iowa State University Administration:

We, the members of the LDSSA (Latter-day Saint Student Association) at Iowa State University, write this letter in response to President Martin Jischke’s challenge made on Wednesday, August 27th, at a meeting with the GSB Senate. President Jischke issued a challenge to the students and university community, to pledge to make the campus alcohol-free during Veishea. He said the pledge must be real, and it must be sincere.

We concur 100 percent with President Jischke, and so we wholeheartedly and sincerely accept this challenge. We pledge to do everything possible in our student organization to make the Veishea event alcohol-free. We issue the same challenge to other student organizations, to support President Jischke, and make a similar pledge.
