For Catt research

W. Scott Thune

I believe that Carrie Chapman Catt’s work and life reflects a deeply held belief in the dignity of all persons regardless of race, social class or national origins.

However, rather than attempting to convince anyone with cleverly crafted arguments, and rather than attempting to silence those who disagree, I have created a website with links to sources on the web which contain information about Carrie Chapman Catt or which contain copies of documents she authored or edited.

Among these documents is a complete copy of Woman Suffrage by Federal Constitutional Amendment, including the infamous Chapter 6.

In addition, researchers can find links to all articles and letters discussing the controversy over the naming of a campus building in Catt’s honor which have appeared in the Iowa State Daily since June 1995.

The URL for the website: www.public.iastate.edu/~wsthune/catt/

I created this website with the intention of allowing all voices to be heard.

If I have overlooked any available resource or any view, I ask that you send me the information so I can make it available.
