July 8
* Burglary/breaking and entering, G212 Agronomy Hall.
* Randall Petersohn, 194 Meat Lab, reported someone used what appears to be a bladed screwdriver to pry open the doors on the ground floor of Meat Lab. They had pried on doors 182-1, 183-1, 183-2, 194, and 194B. Access was gained to 194 and 194B. A dollar was taken from Room 194, but nothing else was taken. In Room 194B, the intruder had attempted to pry the safe, but was unable to gain entrance.
* Burglary/breaking and entering, Molecular Biology.
* DPS Parking Systems found a vehicle in Lot 50A with a stolen parking permit. The vehicle was impounded and towed to Butch’s. The owner of the vehicle, Zachary Bunkers, 2925 39th St., Des Moines, said he found the permit in Lot 58 about a month and a half ago and thought someone had thrown it out at the end of the school year. The vehicle was released to Bunkers after the officer retrieved the permit. The permit belongs to Mungara Saikumar, 116G University Village.
* Theft from building, Durham Center.
July 12
* Matthew J. Fritzjunker, 209 E. 6th St. #6, reported someone took some musical equipment from Room 38 (in the basement) that belonged to him and a friend of his, Jennifer Scott, 228 S. Kellogg Ave. He said the lockers in that room are not usually locked and that there has not been a problem before. He stated that there was a music camp held over the weekend and he thinks one of them may have taken the items. Estimated loss for Fritzjunker is $1,670. Estimated loss for Scott is $675.
July 14
*DPS officer was waved down by a female near her residence at Schilletter Village. The female told the officer she had a verbal argument with her husband and she wanted to go to Access. Officer talked with Access and then transported the female to their location.
* Theft from building, Agronomy Hall. Beomsaok Seo, 419 Opal Circle, reported a book he ordered was shipped to him and the secretary signed for it and placed it in the mailbox area. He said the package lay there for a while and then disappeared. Estimated loss is $100.
July 15
* Lynn Newbold, 3104 Molecular Biology, reported money was taken from her purse while it was in the bottom drawer of her desk. Estimated loss is $40.
