More than $2,300 worth of musical equipment was stolen from Music Hall on Saturday.
Matthew J. Fritzjunker, a senior in liberal arts and sciences, reported that the equipment was taken from a basement room. Although lockers are present in the room, he said they are not usually locked and there was no problem with them in the past.
Fritzjunker’s friend, Jennifer Scott, a senior in music, also reported missing equipment.
Loras Jaeger, director of the Department of Public Safety, stated that a total of $1,670 in stolen goods were missing from Fritzjunker.
“The items stolen include a $900 bass amplifier, two $250 microphones, a $150 guitar pedal, a leather guitar strap worth $150, and some other miscellaneous equipment,” Jaeger said.
Scott reported a bass guitar, case, stand, and strap stolen, he said. Her property totaled $675.
There was a music camp held over the weekend and Fritzjunker believes that one of the campers may have possibly taken the musical equipment.
