Daily Staff Writer

June 4

* David C. Frisk, 132 ERI, turned over some property that had been found at Lincoln Way and Beach Ave. He said that Bill Richard had found the items. Unknown who the property belongs to at this time. Estimated value of the property is $95.

* Disorderly conduct, University Village.

June 5

* Sue Stott, 102 Hill St. N. W., Elkader, reported that while she was staying in room 3265 Willow Hall, someone entered her room and took two of her rings. Estimated loss is $780.

* DPS arrested Damion Lee Strom, 121H University Village, on a Story County warrant. DPS transported him to the Story County jail.

`* Duane A. Walton, 24 Science II, reported that while he was working in Science II, he witnessed a female walk out of the women’s restroom. He said that after she left the restroom, he noticed a male leave. Officer talked with the female who said that she heard someone in the stall next to hers, but she thought it was another female. She said that she didn’t know it was a male until she talked with Duane about the incident, later in the morning.

* Susan J. Harrington, 576 Design Center, reported that she had received a prank phone call on her audix. She said that she didn t recognize the voice of the caller. The caller used some obscene language and left a phone number. He said he attended Louisville University, and that he lives there. Officer called the number, but couldn’t understand the answering machine message. He left his name, DPS name, and the DPS telephone number on the answering machine.

* DPS stopped a vehicle at Lincoln Way and Knoll Rd., because the driver was not using his safety belt. While doing a routine driver’s license check, it was found that the driver, Branden Jay Pedersen, 206 State St., was driving while under suspension. He was placed under arrest.

June 6

* DPS received a report that a female had fallen in the South foyer of MacKay Hall. Upon arrival, an officer found Annebelle Lamb, of Salix. Lamb had tripped over the benches and fell face forward, scraping her knee and the bridge of her nose. She also suffered a small cut to her lip. She was transported back to the Heartland Inn.

*Sixth St. and Elwood Drive—Ames Police Department reported a vehicle was broken down in the center of the southbound lane with only the left turn signal flashing. Vehicle towed for being a traffic hazard. The vehicle is registered to Kwok Kin Yue, 142A University Village.

* Jesse Voga, 62277 130th St., Roland, reported that he had locked his bicycle to the bike rack on the west side of Helser Hall. When he returned to get it, it was gone. Estimated loss is $95.

* Terry John Franco, 1322 Barkley Court, reported that his car keys were either stolen or lost, either in his vehicle, or at the University Village laundry. Estimated loss is $3.

June 7

* Huirong Qian, 1455 Hawthorn Court, reported that a tree had fallen onto his vehicle, and his neighbor’s vehicle, in Hawthorn Court. The neighbor is Nawapak Eua-Anant, 1453 Hawthorn Court. USAC duty person was called in to remove the tree. Estimated damage to Qian’s vehicle is $150. Estimated damage to Eua-Anant’s vehicle is $100.

* Ames Police Department reported that a vehicle was on fire on Mortensen Road. The owner of the vehicle, Courtney Ahren Wirtz, 903 Pinon Drive #1, stated that he had been working on the vehicle, and when he went to test drive it, it caught on fire.
