Students interested in promoting racial healing on campus have an opportunity to hone their skills at a workshop today.
Student Counseling Service is presenting “Enhancing Inter-racial Communication: A student-led workshop” at two sessions, one at 3 p.m. and one at 7 p.m. in the Gold Room of the Memorial Union.
The Multicultural Task Force has given funding to support the workshop so members of student organizations can acquire some of the skills they need to build a coalition on campus. Students will talk about differences in preferred communication styles, historical or political power differences, and racial awareness stages.
