Everything’s coming up roses — and more — at the Garden and Environmental Show hosted this weekend at North Grand Mall.

Displays will last from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Shoppers will get new perspectives and a head start on spring gardening while surrounded by orchids, roses, bonsai plants, cacti, a real beehive and assorted other flowers and plants. A variety of plant and environmental products will be available for purchase.

Exhibitors include the Iowa Honey Producers Association, the Central Iowa Orchid Society, Iowa Arboretum, the Iowa State Rose Society, the Southwest District Rose Society, the Society of Iowa Florists and Growers, the Mid-Iowa Cactus and Succulent Society, the Iowa Bonsai Association, and the Men’s Garden Club of Des Moines.
