R.O.A.R. Tour to stop in Iowa

Daily Staff Writer

A mirage of alternative artists, including Tonic, Sponge and Bloodhound Gang, will be playing at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport in honor of the first annual R.O.A.R. Tour (Revelation of Alternative Rhythms).

The all-day festival will stop in Iowa on Sunday, June 1, beginning at 1 p.m.

Other acts on the bill include Iggy Pop, 60 Ft Dolls, Reverend Horton Heat, 4 Non Blonde’s Linda Perry, Ryan Downe and Treadmill Trackster.

Much like last year’s Lollapalooza festival, the tour will include a different to-be-announced special guest at each stop.

Tickets for the general admission show go on sale this weekend. Tickets are $20 in advance and $24 at the door.

For those looking to score an even better deal, tickets will be offered at a discounted rate of $16 this Saturday and Sunday only.

Tickets can be purchased at any Co-Op Records store in the state, along with Rock N Back stores in Cedar Rapids. The Co-Op in Ames is located at 2801 Grand Ave.

Tickets can also be charged by phone by calling 1-800-293-5949.
