Crabtree cooks up success with special burgers

With her specially marinated burger, Dean of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences Beverly Crabtree won the Faculty Cook-Off held on central campus from noon to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Representatives from each of the seven undergraduate colleges served as celebrity chefs, each bringing his and her own special seasonings, sauces and secret recipes.

Celebrity chefs included Richard Carter, department head of the College of Agriculture’s education studies program; August Ralston, department chair of faculty and finance for the College of Business; Assistant Dean Roger Baer, College of Design; Marsha Harmon, with student services in the College of Education; Associate Dean Ted Okiishi, College of Engineering; Dean Beverly Crabtree, College of Family and Consumer Sciences; Assistant Dean J.D. Beatty, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
