Old-school rap masters Run DMC has been named the headliner at this year’s Riverfest in Iowa City. The group will perform Friday April 25 at 9 p.m. in Hubbard Park. The show is free and includes opening acts Poster Children, Genuyne and the Crew.

Poster Children will take the stage at 7 p.m. with the others following.

The annual “Battle of the Bands” competition will take place on Saturday, April 26, beginning at 11 a.m.

Bands performing on Saturday include Sweat Lodge, Swizzle Tree, Trance Mission and Greenlight Bus Driver among others.
