March 25
* Jean Biase, 4112 Storms Hall, reported that she had been assaulted by Brian David Colston, 4152 Storms Hall. He was later arrested and charged with assault.
* D. Lynne Zagar, 119 Lynwood Drive, Huxley, reported that she left her coat hanging outside of the Tearoom in the Memorial Union. When she went to get the coat, it was gone. Estimated loss is $180.
* M. D. Kerns, 3229 West St. #3, reported that his dog had been hit by a car on Bissell Rd., near Sweeney Hall, and that the vehicle left without stopping. The dog was taken to vet med college, where it is in critical condition.
March 26
* Officer stopped a vehicle at Elwood and the entrance to Highway 30 for speeding. When officer approached the vehicle, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officer administered field sobriety tests to the driver, Matthew John Reed, 223 Lynn Ave., which he failed. Officer found two pipes, the kind to smoke marijuana, and a bag of a green, leafy substance. Reed was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
March 27
* Officer stopped a vehicle at Lincoln Way and State Ave. after officer observed the vehicle swerving back and forth within its lane and going 38 in a 25 mph zone. Officer administered field sobriety tests, to Melissa Danner, 133 Beedle Drive, which she failed. Danner was placed under arrest for OWI.
* Jaime A. Davidovich, 3017 Oak Hall, reported that while her vehicle was parked in Lot 63, someone slashed the right front tire. Estimated damage is $60.
* Theft from building, University Book Store.
* Theft of motor vehicle parts and accessories, Lot 63. Jennifer M. Worsham, 384 Linden Hall, reported that while her vehicle was parked in Lot 63, someone had removed the tail-light assembly from her vehicle. Estimated loss is $150.
* Mark McCombs, communications technology, was working on the construction in Pammel Court. and was dumping a load of dirt. When he lowered the bed of the truck, it caught on a power line and snapped a utility pole in half, causing a power outage in Pammel Court. The high voltage crew was called to repair the line. Estimated damage is $200.
March 28
* Missing person at Wilson Hall. Later, the person was found.
* Michael J. Hodgen, 5131 Storms Hall, reported that his CD player, 40 CDs and a CD case were taken out of his room. He said that he was at class, and his roommate was doing laundry at the time of the theft. Estimated loss is $748.
* Bee Hui Lim, 225 N. Hyland #15, reported that her wallet was missing. She said the last time she used it was at the Hub. She said when she went to use her wallet at the Vogue Shop, it was gone. She was advised to cancel all of the credit cards and phone card. Estimated loss is $45.
March 29
* Officer stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Hyland Ave. after officer observed the vehicle speed and also pulled the vehicle over the curb with all four tires on the grass. When officer approached the vehicle, officer noticed the the driver, Eric Daniel Skowrouski, 230 Campus Ave. #211, was having a problem with his motor skills. Officer administered field sobriety tests on Skowrouski, which he failed. He was placed under arrest for OWI.
* Driving under the influence, Lincoln Way and Stanton.
* Matt J. Reiter, 2122 Lincoln Way, reported that while his vehicle was parked in Lot S-3, someone broke into the vehicle and took his CD player. He said they also damaged the speaker cover in the passenger side door, when they attempted to take the speaker. Estimated damage and loss is $400
March 31
* Earley J. Gooch, 1143 Storms Hall, reported that someone took his stereo from his studio in the Armory some time over the weekend. Estimated loss is $300.
